Personally, I don’t care for bithdays! I think they are way over rated! They are fine for kids but come on, after 21, who needs them?
A pet peeve of mine are people who feel like they deserve the day off from work just because it’s their birthday and those who are constantly pointing out all day long…that it is their birthday! Get over it…everyone has one and your not special just because it happens to be the day you turn another year older. Oh, and they get all hurt if you don’t remember to tell them Happy Birthday when their not even really someone close to you!
I’m not saying it’s not nice to remember someone close to you on their birthday with a card or even a small gift…especially if it’s your spouse or family member or be remembered but for those who feel that every birthday, every year deserves a big commotion from everyone…Forget it!

I disagree! Yes, everyone has a birthday, but everyone deserves to be celebrated!
I do agree that birthday parties after the age of 21 should be limited to the “big numbers” such as 30, 40, 50 and so on, but there is no reason not to go out and celebrate with some friends and have some drinks.
Of course, the last birthday party I held was for my 2 year old. That went really well! I am a firm believer in not overdoing kids birthday parties. There is no reason to spend hundreds of dollars to rent out a place when a child can have a wonderful party at home!
Birth is a blessed event and should be remembered and celebrated.

I agree birthdays should be celebrated (largely celebrate) at the milestones of 16, 18, 21, 30, 40 and so on. We should all be thankful however that we have been given another year to exist!

Celebrate Everything! Life is too short not to enjoy everyday. Even your birthdays. Of course your getting older but it’s your day. Your the special one, so celebrate your life with everyone you know. You never know when your next birthday won’t happen, so have a party, eat cake, and love every minute of your wonderful life. And don’t forget to thank your parents for creating you.
